During the field trip students visited an executive briefing centre and an innovation hub - E-Estonia showroom - where they had the possibility to meet with Estonia’s former government Chief Information Officer, Taavi Kotka, who answered to students’ questions about the take-off of the e-governance in Estonia, citizens’ trust in e-services, and the future of the e-residency. Students also met with the risk analyst from the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, Ivar Laur, who delivered a presentation on the public sector’s data usage.
The field trip was concluded with the tour of the TUT Innovation and Business Center Mektory where students visited various labs and tested out the virtual reality headsets at VR lab „Re:Creation“.
